reiwa.com’s latest real estate analysis of the Kwinana-Rockingham local area, which comprises 27 suburbs*, is based on the four week period to 22 February 2016.
During this four week period, overall reported sales lifted 34 per cent to 259 sales across land, units and houses.
Sales activity and property for sale
While overall sales increased by 34 per cent in the four weeks to 22 February, they were down five per cent when compared to the same time in 2015.
The composition of sales breaks down to 211 house sales, 17 unit sales and 31 land sales.

The total number of properties listed for sale in the Kwinana-Rockingham local area increased by four per cent over the four week period to sit at 1,973. This number is 22 per cent higher than the same time last year.
The average time to sell in the local area increased by 13 days to 76 days for the three months to January 2016.
Rental market
The total number of properties leased for rent (houses and units) in the four weeks to 22 February lifted 22 per cent to 535, which is up from 438 in the four weeks prior. This figure is also 11 per cent higher than the same time last year when the number of properties leased sat at 483.
The total number of properties for rent in the Kwinana-Rockingham area increased by one per cent to 951 in the four weeks to 22 February, however this figure is 84 per cent higher than the same time last year.
Kwinana-Rockingham’s overall median rent came in at $360 per week for the three months to January 2016 which is $40 less than for the three months to January 2015.
